The committee was organized in May 1953 to make recommendations "in view of the reorganization which our school will of necessity face in the next few years" (i.e., the retirement of Dean Whipple). The Report concerns itself with deficiencies in the teaching program, the use of part-time staff, university hospital appointments, & antagonisms between the Medical School and the community.
